All pollutant, even solid, will be introduced into the air as soon as it is at the state of particle with a small diameter.


The pollution of the environment is an essential cause of the degradation of materials The emanations of dust, hydrocarbons or other polluting agents caused by industries, cars, trucks, buses or trains are so many negative agents for materials of frontage. In the majority of the cases, the pollutants are propagated very far from their zone of rejection, consequence of the atmospheric circulation and the cycle of water.



How the materials are degraded by pollution ?

                

By the concept or the frequency of cleaning not adapted to the environment.By the repetition of the use of aggressive products for surfaces.

We build towers increasingly high using new materials (technical glass, aluminium , stainless steel).To guarantee and preserve the quality of these materials, it is significant to set up, at the origin, a protocol of maintenance.


In a general way, it is very difficult to preserve the origin state of materials used in the construction of modern buildings (concretes, traditional or special glazing, aluminium) which undergo an increasing degradation, direct or indirect consequence of pollution accentuated by maintenances not adapted to the surfaces.



Irisation of glasses

                

Glasses used in the building constructions can in certain cases undergo an attack on its surface called irisation. This irisation of glasses is often in the tropical zones having a significant heat and water rate.

The irisation is produced by the water vapor which settles on the surface of glass. This thin water film combined with a high temperature causes a chemical attack's process :

     The water absorbs calcium and sodium presents in the glass and becomes alkaline. This water attacks the silicic structure on the surface and create a defect visual with a rainbow color or white color (see photographs)..


Under some conditions, the irisation can be very fast.
Nowadays, it is possible to solve this phenomenon of irisation.


We developed a process which remove this irisation with our products IRISTOP and RENUGLASS.This process requires a specific procedure.
